RELAUNCH SEO REWRITE PRIVACY POLICY

WHO WE ARE

Relaunch SEO Rewrite is a Shopify app made by Relaunch Studio, registered in Romania. This policy covers the app only. Our website has its own privacy policy.

"We" means Relaunch Studio. "You" means the merchant who installs the app and the staff who use it in the Shopify admin.

WHAT DATA THE APP ACCESSES

The app asks Shopify for two permissions: read products and write products. With them it reads, for the products you work on:

• Title, vendor, product type, category, tags and variant options
• Product metafields (specification fields)
• SEO title, SEO description and product description
• Your store's primary domain and default language, to pick the template language

The app does not access customers, orders, payments or any data about your shoppers. It has no permission to read them.

WHAT DATA THE APP STORES

• Shopify session data needed to authenticate the app with your store
• Your settings: your templates and, if you connect your own AI provider, its URL, model and API key. The API key is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and shown masked.
• Documents you upload to build a knowledge pack: only their extracted text is kept. The original file is read in memory and never saved.
• Rewrite jobs: a copy of each selected product's content when the job is created, the proposed rewrite, the check results and your decisions
• Product versions: the content of a product right before the app writes to it, so you can restore it
• Specs: a copy of your catalog's product data (no descriptions and no SEO), the values read from descriptions and your confirmations

WHAT THE APP WRITES TO YOUR STORE

Only after you approve it: the product title, SEO title, SEO description and description, and the product metafields you confirm in Specs (creating the field definition when a field does not exist yet). Images, variants, prices, inventory and handles are not changed.

AI PROCESSING

To write a proposal, the app sends the product data listed above, your template text and your knowledge pack to an AI model. Which model depends on your settings:

• Your own provider: when you enter your own API key (for example Anthropic or OpenAI), the data goes to that provider under your account and your agreement with them.
• The included model: when you use it, the data goes to OpenRouter (OpenRouter, Inc.), which passes each request to the company that runs the model. The model is Gemini 3.8 Flash, from Google. The app allows only Google's own services for it, Google AI Studio and Google Vertex AI (Google LLC, United States), and only while OpenRouter lists them as not collecting user data. OpenRouter states that it protects data leaving the EU with adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone other than the services named in this policy.

WHERE DATA IS STORED

The app and its database run on a server rented from Contabo GmbH, in the European Union. A daily backup of the database is stored privately in Google Cloud Storage (Google LLC), in the Frankfurt (EU) region. All connections use HTTPS.

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

As long as the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, we delete everything we store for your store: settings, API key, documents, templates, rewrite jobs, product versions and specs data. We do the same when Shopify sends us a shop data erasure request. Copies in the daily backups are removed within 14 days.

If you want your data deleted while the app is still installed, email us and we will delete it.

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER GDPR

If you're in the EU, UK, or any jurisdiction covered by GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification: ask us to correct any inaccurate data
• Erasure: ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we process your data
• Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: object to our processing of your data
• Withdrawal of consent: at any time, for any processing based on consent

SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY

If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority:
