COS - Social Share Images ("the app") is a Shopify app made by Relaunch Studio, registered in Romania. These terms cover the app only. How the app handles your data is in the app's privacy policy.
"We" means Relaunch Studio. "You" means the merchant who installs the app and the staff who use it in the Shopify admin.
By installing or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the app, or uninstall it.
The app makes a branded 1200x630 share image for your products, collections, blogs, articles, pages and your shop, from templates you edit in the app. A theme app embed adds the image to your storefront as the og:image tag, which social networks and messaging apps read when someone shares a link to your store. The app also counts how often your pages are shared and clicked.
You choose which types the embed serves. A type you switch off uses your store's own image again.
The app reads your products, collections, content and theme. It does not change your theme files. Many themes print their own og:image before the app's, and social networks use the first one. When that happens, the app shows you the theme lines to comment out and gives you a copy of the original file. Changing your theme is your decision and your responsibility, so keep that copy.
Social networks keep their own copy of a share image for some time. A change in the app can take a while to show on a network, and we do not control when it refreshes.
The images use your store's data and the logos and backgrounds you choose from your Shopify Files. You keep all rights to that content. You confirm that you have the right to use it, and you give us permission to use it only to make and serve your share images.
Share images are public files, like the images on your storefront. Anyone with the link can open them. The app does not make images for draft or archived products, or for unpublished pages and articles.

If you do, we can suspend your access to the app.
We work to keep the app available and correct, but we do not promise that it will always work without errors or interruptions. The app depends on Shopify and on other services that we do not control. We can change, add or remove features. If we stop the app, we tell you at least 30 days before.
When you uninstall the app, the app embed stops working and your storefront stops showing the app's images. Your theme no longer prints an og:image if you commented out its own lines. For that case, the app emails your store the steps to put them back, with a copy of the original theme file when the app saw it.
We delete your store's access data when you uninstall, and your share images when Shopify sends us your store's data erasure request.
The app is given "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost sales, lost profit or lost data, that come from using the app or from not being able to use it. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit.
Romanian law governs these terms. The courts of Romania decide any dispute, unless the law of your country gives you a different right.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
